the 9pm show airing on channel 8 was concluded recently. the title of the show is Rhythm Of Life or 变奏曲. It is about a person who tries to make amends by going back in time to save his loved ones from dying. He also tries to change the fate of those around him, trying to make their lives better. However he realises that no matter what he does, those around him can never escape fate itself. On a personal note, I feel that this show is a touching one. The storyline was well plotted. However the structure of the show was not really organised. A narrator was needed to get everything into place.Many people these days, especially youths,are largely influenced by what they watch on television. With the influx of so many Science-Fiction movies,it is no wonder we are always thinking about changing our past, and what it would be if we had done something else instead of this. The audience that was being targeted mainly was the youths. The director's message for the audience was for us to stop day dreaming about impossible things. changing the past may not necessarily mean better future. rather, we should focus on achieving what is expected of us. wishing wells may only appear in fairy tales. but what if there was really one? what wish would u wish for?

Well if a wishing well were to appear infront of me, i guess i would wish for happiness and success. These things might be simple things in people's life that can be easily achieved. However, the ending of the whole process might not lead to what you really want. I just hope to be happy as i often find myself not that happy.

I beg to differ. i thought the show was aimed to make people think. Think about what they have or have not done to people around them. to push people of all ages to start thinking about their close ones, people around them, and start treasuring them. because, as the show goes, a person goes back in time to change things.
yes i agree the storyline is more towards impossible, but i think the message should be more like, reminding the audience to treasure what they have now and not regret later as they will not be able to change anything.

I think it has a pretty interesting plot (slightly fresher than the usual sadistic love settings)
However, i dont think the media really meant to decieve the audience about wishing for a change of the past but rather, PONDER A LOT before making decisions in life. As the story goes, the male lead had a totaly of 3"lives" to correct. In each of them there were downsides to it.
It's like a hurdle race. Being able to pass one hurdle does not entitle you to successfully pass the next few on your course.
Same goes with life.
One right decision does not mean things will always go the way you wanted.
But one wrong decision will definitely not.

i didnt really watch the show, but i thought it was super draggy! hahaha. and dramatic. but since young, ive always wondered. when someone gets one wish, why do they never wish for 10 more!?! i would wish for abundant wishes. haahaa. but if it really happened. i wont make a wish because what good is it if something happens without my effort at all.
watched a few episodes of this show.. alot of twist and turn.. the idea of christopher lee reflecting wad he has done at the end of the show is quite cool ;D
i agree wit jsameileenx in that the show's message to the audience is to tell them to treasure the loved ones around us. However I feel that the main aim of the movie is to provide entertainment, like most TV shows do today.
